The Art of Norman Lindsay.

In 1979 we were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase this collection from the estate of an elderly gentleman who, in his youth, had been a world traveler and an avid collector of Norman Lindsay and other erotic art.  These items appear to have been purchased during the 1920s and 1930s.

11-3/4" x 9-3/4".  30 x 25 cm.
Frame: 19-3/4" x 16".  41 x 50 cm.
Titled and numbered in pencil, No. 41 of 55.
Signed Norman Lindsay in pencil lower right.
A light waterstain to the mat above the lower edge of the frame.

This edition is limited to 1850 copies of which 1820 are for sale.
Eighteen tipped in color plates from original watercolours by Norman Lindsay with an appreciation of the medium by Norman Lindsay and a biography of the artist by Godfrey Blunden.   57 pages.  Folio.  Fine & tight condition in dust wrapper which has a 1/4" tear at top of spine, 1/2" and less chipping at the heal, light wear along the front edge of spine.

100 Illustrations by Norman Lindsay.   Fanfrolico Press, London, circa 1927.   Privately printed for sale to subscribers only.  No. 361 of 650 copies, signed in ink by Jack Lindsay.  12-3/4 x 9-3/4".  32.5 x 24.25 cm. 151 Pages.   Bound in half morocco & marbled board, with gold spine lettering & upper page gilt.  The cover's upper & lower edges slightly worn & marble paper is rubbed or frettet to 1/4" where it meets the leather.  Facing end papers are stained, otherwise it is tight & in fine condition.

Norman Lindsay.  The Shepherd Press, Sydney, (1945).  14 Full plate tipped in color plates & 16 full page black & white illustrations by Norman Lindsay.  Number 662 of 1000 copies.13 x 10".  33 x 25.5 cm.  Green board with gold stamped illus, in illus. wrapper (which has a 5"  tear in the back, and tears & chips at   upper & lower edges). The cover itself has shelf worn spine ends, front corner wear, stain at the lower edge of front & back. The interior is tight & in fine condition.
